Synopsis
Sophie Drakas is obsessed with music and fed-up with her boring Midwestern college life, so she decides to pack it all in and move to glamorous New York City in search of her dream of becoming a music journalist. Soon she's working for Beautifully Bold, a national women's magazine and hanging at a neighborhood hip-hop Open Mic night for inspiration. When hip-hop becomes her full time gig, she gets to go behind the scenes and rub elbows with some of today's biggest rap personalities; but, the line between her personal and professional life gets increasingly hazy. She meets the charismatic, semi-famous rapper Furious and discovers the hard truth about mixing business with pleasure. And then there's Jack Moretti, the elusive, endearing Brooklyn guy who never totally fades from the picture or her heart. SO FLY is a coming-of-age love story, set in the frenetic whirlwind of NYC's hip-hop community where the same rules don't always apply, you have to think fast and life is about getting grown.
